Let me share with you all an interesting 来源 of the Middle Finger story. (Adapted from my brother)
There was once, during war between England and France.
And of course, England was winning as they own France in soccer. ROFLMAO no link no link but who cares.
Ya, so England was winning. And England was well-known for their great and accurate archery skills. OMG O.O
How was their arrow shot?
English people used their middle finger and pulled the arrow and WHAM! target hit.
France then used this as a counter.
Whenever they caught English people they would cut off their middle fingers.
LOL? As a result, their great archery skills were all wasted and thus, they lost the battle. Oh~~ What a waste.
From then on, when the French saw the English, they would make fun of them by showing their intact middle finger, humiliating them in their fat face, saying "Pluck You!" as they used their middle finger to pluck the arrow strings.
And so, this phrase "Pluck You" was too commonly used in France that it changed to F*** You!
